Cougar Town - Always Good For A Laugh (or 3)

Every Wednesday night I can 't wait for the kids to go to bed so that I can settle down with my hubby and watch my favorite comedy Cougar Town. I have noticed that this show seems to get a lot of mixed reviews. Most are good, but then there are those who complain that the show is driven too much with sex. Get over it! Sex is a natural part of life....without it we would not be here!

Very rarely do I enjoy a television show, let alone a comedy, from beginning to end. Rarely do I find myself laughing throughout the entire show. When I watch Cougar Town, I do.

One of the reasons for my love of this show is not Courtney Cox, but rather her rag tag band of friends, in particular Ellie. This character is so funny. She is quick witted, crude, rude, controlling and best of all a good friend. I often comment to my husband that Ellie is my role model....needless to say this scares him! I am often drawn to the strong bitch female characters in shows, I guess there is a part of me that wishes I had the "balls" or confidence to be so brazen. Other bitch broads that I have loved on t.v. have been Lucy Liu on Ally McBeal, or the ever snotty, entitled and beautiful Eva Longoria Parker from Desperate Housewives. These are the gals that make me laugh the most.

My other favorite character on Cougar Town is the infamous Barb. This is a strong, confident, sexually driven cougar that makes me nearly pee my pants every week.
When I stop to think about the women of the tube that I am fondest of, they are always the bitches! That must say quite a bit about me!
